Managing Director, Head of External Relations, Member of Investment Committee
Patrick Durkin is Managing Director, Head of External Relations at Atlas, having joined in January 2015, and is based in New York. As Head of External Relations, Mr. Durkin’s responsibilities include investor and corporate relations, government and regulatory strategies, and communications. Previously, Mr. Durkin was a Managing Director at Barclays responsible for Government Relations and Public Policy starting in 2009. Prior to Barclays, Mr. Durkin was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse in the Alternative Asset Management Group responsible for funds development and capital raising. In 2001, Credit Suisse acquired Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette (DLJ), where Mr. Durkin was a Managing Director and led the development of its International and Emerging Markets Banking business beginning in 1994.
In government, Mr. Durkin served in the U.S. Treasury Department during the Reagan and Bush Administrations and in the U.S. Congress as a Legislative and Communications Director. Mr. Durkin also served on the Executive Staff of the President’s Commission on Market Reform (Brady Commission), on the SEC Competitive Markets Task Force, and on the board of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC).
Mr. Durkin is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Greater New York and the College for Every Student, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Mr. Durkin received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College and an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.
Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, Member of Investment Committee
Mr. Kacani is a Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer at Atlas, having joined in June 2014, and is based in New York. Before joining Atlas, Mr. Kacani was the CFO of Lightyear Capital, having joined in April 2001. Prior to joining Lightyear, Mr. Kacani worked at JP Morgan Partners as a Vice President of Investment Partnerships, Tax and Distributions from 1997 to 2001. Prior to JP Morgan, Mr. Kacani worked at Brother International Corporation as a Manager for financial reporting from 1996 to 1997. Mr. Kacani began his career at KPMG, where he worked from 1987 to 1996. While at KPMG, he spent six years in a variety of audit positions and an additional three years in the executive office overseeing the financial reporting for the consolidated U.S. division of KPMG.
Mr. Kacani is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Praxia Bank S.A. (formerly Credicom Consumer Finance S.A.) and Panmure Gordon & Co. PLC.
Mr. Kacani is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Scranton.
Vice President of Finance and Operations
Ms. Cito is Vice President of Finance and Operations at Atlas, having joined the Firm in June 2014, and is based in New York. Before joining Atlas, Ms. Cito worked as an Auditor at Deloitte & Touche LLP (“Deloitte”) in financial services, having joined Deloitte in September 2013. Prior to Deloitte, Ms. Cito worked as an Intern at J.C. Flowers from 2010 to 2013. At J.C. Flowers, Ms. Cito reported directly to the CFO, the Director of Finance and to the Financial Controllers.
Ms. Cito is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Accounting, summa cum laude, and an MBA from Pace University.
Investor Relations Associate
Ms. Randall is an Investor Relations Associate at Atlas, having joined in September 2013, and is based in New York. Previously, Ms. Randall worked in investment merchant banking at Morgan Brothers Holdings, LLC. Ms. Randall began her career as a US Business Consultant at Mitrakas and Company, PC where she advised foreign companies incorporating in the US on structuring, hiring and marketing.
Ms. Randall earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, cum laude, from Oakland University and a JD from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
